Sylglas approached us through our ongoing business relationship with their parent company, Denso.

Their outdated HTML website needed a complete overhaul to become more responsive and interactive. Our challenge was to create a bespoke website that would elevate their online presence, introduce essential user functionality, and enhance both the user experience and overall site performance.

Key Features and Design

Our strategic approach to enhancing Sylglas’s website involved implementing several key features to improve both usability and aesthetics. We aimed to showcase the brand’s DIY solutions in a visually appealing way using intuitive navigation and multimedia elements.

  • Interactive Aspects: We integrated a playful load animation featuring a tape roll and added an interactive homepage image with clickable hotspots to highlight product applications.
  • Horizontal Scrolling: This feature allows users to scroll through specific sections, progressively revealing content from left to right in an engaging, intuitive manner.
  • Bold Branding: We maintained and enhanced a clean, strong blue and white theme, aligning with Sylglas’s brand colours.
  • Functionality: Designed as an informative e-commerce platform without direct payments, the site educates consumers on product usage with links to Amazon and main distributor, Rustins.

Challenges

Driving traffic to product pages was a key requirement. We introduced step-by-step guides utilising illustrations provided by Sylglas and simple instructions, case studies and informative FAQs to better help search engines understand the content, improve readability, and allow Sylglas a platform to regularly refresh site content.

Time was of the essence, and we managed to complete the project within the allocated eight weeks. Sylglas was happy with the outcome, paving the way for our extended collaboration.

Post-launch Support

We provided the Sylglas team with comprehensive training to ensure they could manage their new website independently. This included guiding them through each aspect of the WordPress CMS, explaining how to update content, manage products, and utilise features like the interactive elements and horizontal scrolling.

We are also supporting them with our Molokini Support package, ensuring monthly maintenance and updates are made to the site to ensure optimal site performance.
