As a sister company of our existing client Pyropress, Ex-tech Signalling’s current website was not effectively representing their brand and needed a complete overhaul. Our challenge was to create a bespoke website that would elevate their online presence, introduce essential user functionality, and enhance both the user experience and overall site performance.

Our new design featured an intuitive layout, making it easier for visitors to navigate, while also integrating e-commerce functionality – without a direct payment option, in line with the client’s specifications. This allowed Ex-tech Signalling to better showcase their products, whilst maintaining a professional, business-to-business focus.

Within the course of 10 weeks, we had delivered a brand-new site with updated copy and a refreshed design that has helped to bring their brand to life. Improved Product Imagery and Datasheets

We advised the Signalling team to invest in new product photography, providing support and a shot list to the photographer for the look and feel that would better suit the site, which in turn complemented the overall aesthetic of the website, giving it a more professional and engaging feel.

Our design team also supported with the creation and design of new product datasheets, simplifying the layout, making complex data easier to understand and refreshing these with the new product imagery.

Not only has this improved the customer experience, as users can quickly find the information, they need without navigating through cluttered or outdated content but it also benefitted their SEO as Google looks positive on websites with high-quality imagery and increases their chances of ranking in featured snippets within the SERP.

Product Code Builder for Efficient Quoting

To further streamline the purchasing process, we implemented a product code builder. This tool allows customers to quickly configure products and generate a code which is sent to a sales representative who can then provide an accurate quote.

The product code builder has made it easier for customers to request exactly what they need and request a quote online, enabling the Signalling team to respond quicker and more accurately with the correct pricing.

Understanding the importance of supporting Ex-tech Signalling’s reseller network, we also developed a dedicated reseller login area. This gated section of the website provides resellers login-specific access to a wide range of content and downloadable assets in one secure location.

By centralising these resources, we have made it easier for resellers to access up-to-date information, marketing materials, and product details. This not only improves their efficiency but also strengthens their relationship with Ex-tech Signalling as they can find everything they need without the need.

Working together

Collaboration was key in ensuring Ex-tech Signalling’s website aligned seamlessly with Pioneer Safety Group (PSG) branding. From the start, we worked closely with Ex-tech Signalling to considerate of PSG’s brand guidelines, ensuring that colours, typography, and design elements were consistent across the site while preserving Ex-tech Signalling’s identity.

Through weekly check ins and feedback sessions with the Signalling team, we made sure that every design choice met both their needs and PSG’s standards.

 

Full Training

Once the site was live, we provided comprehensive training to ensure Ex-tech Signalling team could manage their new website independently. Guiding them through each aspect of the WordPress CMS explaining how to update content, manage products and how features like the reseller login area and product code builder worked.

After the session, we supplied a detailed guide for reference, ensuring the team felt confident in maintaining the site, with ongoing support available from us, as needed.
